One of the things I miss most about growing up in New England is experiencing the leaves changing colors in the Fall. I've always wanted to create a candle that captures that memory, and so I decided to craft a scent that offers a more realistic take on fallen leaves, rather than the cinnamon and spice notes commonly found in fall candles.
With notes of vetiver, matsutake mushrooms, and green leaves, it evokes the nostalgic memory I had of picking up handfuls of leaves in Autumn as a kid.

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn.
Your candle arrives with the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch. A long wick makes more soot.
Let wax melt to the edge of the glass on the first burn.
A part-melted pool leaves a tunnel in the wax. A tunnel cuts the burn time of your candle. The first burn takes 3 to 4 hours.
Burn the candle for no more than 4 hours at a time.
A longer burn makes the glass too hot to touch. It also reduces the total burn time.
Caution. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and drafts.

This is my absolute favorite candle currently! It has the best elements of petrichor and that wonderfully mossy smell while having a little bit more depth and warmth that feels like a forest floor in the fall. Perfect!!!
The smell of a fresh raked pile of leaves, of walking through a northeastern forest in early October. For someone that lives in an urban environment, it's a little bit of autumn nature in the city.
These are such quality candles! They burn slow, and even, and smell amazing! I'm convinced if you buy one, you'll never go back to basic candles that you buy from dept stores
