Hay Field
The smell of hay brings me back to my childhood in Massachusetts. As a kid, I was lucky enough to grow up across the street from a state park that had a large hay field. Each summer, when the hay was collected and turned into bales, my best friend and I would visit the park and climb on top of them. We'd look out across the field as the warm summer breeze cooled us off from the scorching heat.
This candle blends the nutty and woody aromas of hay, with a sweet grassy undertone.
Top Notes: Sweetgrass
Middle Notes: Alfalfa Hay, Clove

I ordered the sample pack and when it came I was surprised that hay field was my favorite one! So I ordered it and it smells exactly like the sample! It is amazing and idk how to describe it but it is my new favorite smell! All the candles that I’ve ordered from Alatreyu so far are amazing and they last for quite a while. The smell isn’t overpowering at all and I love his commitment to making it sustainable and soy based. The whole concept of his company is just amazing tbh. Love love love hay field & Alex
I bought candles I can use in my clinic. I want the office to smell fresh and clean. Many of my patients are sensitive to harsh chemicals but these candles are safe to use amongst the most sensitive of people. They make the room smell clean without being overwhelming.
Smells like Fall!!
The description of this candle is what caught my eye first! I also grew up in Massachusetts and this candle reminds me of the salt marsh hay that grew alongside the road on Old Route 1. This candle is mellow and not overpowering but a nice, steady fragrance that can be enjoyed for any length of time. Selfish and keeping for myself but would make a great gift for any New Englander!
As a midwestern boy that’s relocated, I am always on the lookout for a scent that reminds me of home. This candle does it. It’s like driving down the road on a late summer night with the windows down.
