Hey there! I'm Alex, an artist, photographer, comedian, and (now most recently) candlemaker. Originally from rural Massachusetts, I moved to NYC at 18 to study film production at NYU. While working in the camera department for films and commercials, I started a series of self-portraits and crossed paths with several comedians, which kickstarted my career in photographing comedians in the city.
Today, I work at Saturday Night Live, doing the lighting for the bumper photos of the hosts and musical guests each week. But amidst the city hustle, I miss the tranquility of my Massachusetts roots—the beauty of nature, the earthy scents, and the nostalgia of coming home for the holidays.
That's why I decided to create these candles. To celebrate nature and my roots growing up in the woods as a child. Through these candles, I get to share my artistic journey and connect with others.
