About

Hey there!

I'm Alex, an artist, photographer, comedian, and (now most recently) candlemaker. Originally from rural Massachusetts, I moved to NYC at 18 to study film production at NYU. While working in the camera department for films and commercials, I started a series of self-portraits and crossed paths with several comedians, which kickstarted my career in photographing comedians in the city. Today, I work at Saturday Night Live, doing the lighting for the bumper photos of the hosts and musical guests that air during the commercial breaks each week.

While I love living in the city, I miss the tranquility of my Massachusetts roots. I grew up in the middle of the woods, and miss the nostalgia of playing outside as a kid, and the beauty of all the nature that changed throughout the seasons.

When the 2023 writer's strike happened, SNL went on hiatus, and I pivoted to making candles. I drew from my roots growing up in the forest to focus on scents that celebrated the beauty of the nature I had been missing. It's my hope these candles will also let you experience the joy of nature in your own unique and personal way!
