This brings me right back to my childhood going for hikes early in the morning after a light rain with my uncle.
I absolutely love the scent!! While the candle is strong, the scent is not overpowering at all!
Have not lit it yet, it is an xmas gift for my kid but it smells perfect!
Please don't ever stop making this candle. I'm on my 3rd petrichor now. After ensuring I could get new ones, I reluctantly took my almost-gone one to work to share with the office. I had them smell it without knowing what the candle was. They all loved it. Guesses were rainy day in the woods, wet earth and leaves, outside, my favorite was "OMG it smells like childhood!", meaning they played outside and in the woods a lot growing up. Rainy days calm my anxiety, and this candle has the same effect. Its instant calm! I've been a candle person for years, Yankee, B&BW and etc, I will NEVER buy any other big brand candle now. I'd much rather support Alex to make sure my rainy day candle is always around.
As someone who grew up in the Northeast, this is incredibly accurate. I love the accessibility with sliding scale pricing as well as recycled glass and zero plastic packaging. Alatreyu is doing great work and I look forward to buying more! I think Leaves is next!
