Petrichor is the smell of rain on dry soil. It is an incredibly unique and nostalgic scent that brings me right back to my childhood, when I would spend hours playing outside in nature.
The candle opens with top notes of fresh flowers, cut grass, and rainwater. As the candle burns, the sweeter smells evaporate, leaving behind notes of freshly tilled soil and mushrooms.
This smell is unique and might not be to everyone's taste. I encourage you to try the free-smelling samples to find the scent that's right for you. Additionally, the smell of rain on dry soil is unique in different locations. This particular interpretation of petrichor is based on my upbringing in New England. However, if you grew up in the deserts of western America, I might instead recommend trying either the Creosote or Sagebrush candles.
